1. Skip the gym! Seriously, gym memberships can be costly and often times, people are too intimidated by all the lifters and equipment to actually exercise! If it will motivate you to workout, then it worth the costs otherwise, you'll literally throwing money away.
- Instead of a big gym, try a local recreational center or a YMCA! Even better, if you just want to run then go to your local track or hop on a trail. Here are some good track workouts you can do that you can't do on a treadmill (or shouldn't)
- Walking lunges
- Walking lunges
- One legged lunges on the bleachers
- Tricep dips on the bleachers
2. Invest in home equipment that you'll actually use. Instead of buying a full array of dumbbells, invest in a few sets or a barbell. The possibilities are endless and you can get a full body workout in the comfort of your own home. To go even further, try a jump rope, a medicine ball, stability ball, BOSU, or stretchable bands.

3. Walk- it's free and a good stress reliever that doesn't require expensive shoes
4. Run- Running can be expensive since good support shoes range from $80-$120. If you already have a solid pair of running shoes with you, then feel free to jog around your neighborhood or on a track.
5. Join a sports team! Most people don't like the actual thought of exercising so they join a pick-up basketball team. Many major cities have junior league for sports such as volleyball, soccer, basketball, and even softball. If these prices (or the location) don't workout for you, then ask your friends or family to join you in game of volleyball or soccer in your yard!
6. Use the stairs
